William H. "Bill" Boehm, 80, of Decatur, died Tuesday October 21, 2003 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Graveside services celebrating his life will be 10 A.M. Monday October 27, 2003 in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Pastor Doug Lowery officiating with military rites conducted by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County. Bill was born on May 28, 1923 in Lake City the son of Zacharia and Grace Mikesell Boehm. He was employed at Mueller Co. for 31 years before retiring in December of 1987. He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God, American Legion Castle Williams Post 105, V.F.W. Oren L. Davis Post 99 and a die hard Cub fan. Bill married Melba Murphy in August of 1950 and she preceded him in death in May of 1988.
Surviving are his companion of 17 years, Edith Teubner of Decatur; step-son, Gaylon Carmen Murphy of Decatur; sister, Lillian Hill of Decatur; one step-grandson.
His parents, wife, 2 brothers and 1 sister preceded him in death.
