Bill was born on December 9, 1926 in Decatur, IL the son of William W. and Hattie C. Davis Stockton, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Dixie Neeley on November 9, 1977 in Decatur, IL.
Surviving are his wife, son, William "Bill" W. Stockton III Shanna of Macon, IL; step-sons, Bruce Jourdan Candy 0f Decatur, IL; Sam Jourdan Jeanne of Decatur, IL; Rick Jourdan Kim of Decatur, IL; step-daughter, Mona Grandon Jonas of Oreana, IL; sister, Margi Wilcott of Decatur, IL; one grandchild, 10 step-grandchildren, and several step- great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His parents and three sisters preceded him in death.
