William M. Blakeman's Obituary
Bill was born a son of Ned Albert and Edith Friend Blakeman. He was a setup man for 31 years at Borg Warner before he retired in 1981. He was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, and an Army Veteran of WWII. He married Isabelle M. Kapper on July 5, 1941 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife Isabelle of Decatur; daughters, Carolyn M. Greenwell, husband Dan of Niantic; Gloria A. Walcher, husband Steve of Decatur, Janet E. Milosevich, husband John of Grain Valley, MO., Linda K. Mitchell, husband Brad of Decatur; sons, James W. Blakeman, wife Veronica of Cypress, CA., Donald M. Blakeman, wife Oleta of Oreana, and Philip R. Blakeman, wife Andrea of Decatur; brothers, Glenn Blakeman, wife Zelma of Springfield, Carroll Blakeman, wife Marilyn of Des Moines, IA., and Delmar Blakeman, wife Shirley of Springfield; sisters, Mildred Stewart of Shelbina, MO., Agnes McKenzie of Springfield, Myrtle Hinds of Gresham,OR., Betty Adams of Springfield, Lois Eddington, husband Donald of Springfield, and Doris Unland, husband Harold of Springfield. Special Aunt Doris Davis of Decatur. Twenty grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great step grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His parents, and two brothers Leon and Emmett Blakeman preceded him in death.
