William Jefferson Danner's Obituary
William Jefferson Danner 82 of Decatur died Monday September 22, 2003 in his home.
Graveside services will be 10:30 am Wednesday September 24, 2003 in Graceland Cemetery with Rev. Richard Scott officiating and military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 am Wednesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Condolences mat be made to the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
Mr. Danner was born August 30, 1921 in Decatur, IL the son of Albert and Belva Mowry Danner. He was retired from Thompson's Lumber Company and was a WWII Army Veteran. He married Avis Joann Allen in Sparta, WI on July 19, 1945 she preceded him in death on December 29, 2002.
Surviving are daughters, Carol Lowe Mitchell of Decatur, IL; Susan NettleshipLester of Decatur, IL; sisters Lois Zientara of Decatur, IL; Anna Goken of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons, Kris Danner Kandy of Texas; Michael Danner of Romeoville, IL; Tony Danner Jenny of Marion, IL; granddaughters; Rebecca Hugo Rob of Decatur, IL; Megan Nettleship of Decatur, IL; great-granddaughter Chloe Hugo of Decatur, IL; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, David W. Danner, two brothers, and two sisters.
