William Taylor Duda's Obituary
William Taylor Duda, 74, of Decatur died Tuesday April 20, 2010 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will be 2:00 pm Friday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. The family requests casual dress. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the National Rifle Association.
Bill was born on December 13, 1935 in Decatur the son of William A. and Ava Jean Huddleston Duda. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 965. He was an avid outdoorsman. He married Jane Burdick on June 26, 1954 in Decatur.
He leaves behind his wife and sole mate, Jane Duda; daughters: Pam Nail and husband Larry “Bo”, Connie Mooney and husband Charles Steven, Karen Brown and husband Doug, and Bonnie McKinney and husband Clay “Bird”. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Jenny Netherton and husband Brad, BJ Nail, Megan Gregurich and husband Dean, Tom Mooney and wife Megan, Amanda Brown, Sarah Brown, Amy McKinney, and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darrell Duda.
