William Louis Ellis' Obituary
William Louis Ellis, 95, of Broken Arrow, OK, formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Broken Arrow.
William was born July 22, 1915, in Decatur, the son of Louis L. and Mary C. Semelka Ellis. A U.S Army Veteran of WW II and recipient of the Bronze Star, William was a Representative for the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and was a past member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. William married Margaret June Myer in Decatur on August 14, 1948 and she preceded him in death June 15, 1995.
Surviving is his daughter, Beverly Cvercko and husband, Stephen Helvie of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Gerald Ellis of Winfield, KS; grandchildren: Valerie & Kevin and great grandson Daniel.
William was preceded in death by his wife, four sisters and one brother.
Graveside services with Military Rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard will be 2 pm, Saturday, November 14, 2009 in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pastor Russell Weise officiating. There will be no visitation.
