William G. Hankins' Obituary
William G. “Bill” Hankins 69 of Decatur died Tuesday morning February 12, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.
Graveside services and burial will be 1:00 pm Friday February 15, 2008 in High Street Cemetery, White Hall Township, IL. Visitation will be 5:00 ' 7:00 pm Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Memorial gifts are suggested to Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Bill was born on November 29, 1938 in St. Louis, MO the son of William James and Eva May Michaels Hankins. He worked as security officer for many years and served his country in the US Army. He married Marcia Walker on August 10, 1974 in Jacksonville, IL. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Surviving are his wife, Marcia, four children, Eva Hankins David Anthony, Peggy Hankins, Michael Hankins Terri Keller, and Austin Hankins Jamie Gordon and his eight grandchildren, Matthew, Kristian, Karli, Haley, MaKayla, Destiny, Dominic, and William. He is also survived by his sister Pansy Hardwick Everett and brother, James L. Hankins Catherine.
He was preceded in death by five children, Barbara Jo, Terry, Eddie, Donna, William “Billy” G. Jr., sisters, Susan Damn and Dorothy Regina and one brother Paul Martin Hankins.
