William Douglas Hise's Obituary
William Douglas Hise 77 of Decatur died Sunday April 20, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Thursday April 24, 2008 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Grant as celebrant. Visitation will be 5:00 ' 8:00 pm Wednesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with a Vigil Prayer Service at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Alzheimer Association or the Parkinson Foundation.
Bill was born on January 8, 1931 in Decatur the son of Donald Clarence and Edith Sayle Hise. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 65 for over 55 years. He was an avid Cardinal fan and Notre Dame fan. He married Esther Marie Estell on October 28, 1983 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife Esther; children, Debbie Hill Larry of Decatur; Judy A. Hise Bob Smith of Decatur; Mike Hise Diana of Decatur; Diane McCormick Cortney of Burnsville, MN; Mary Gut Hans of Decatur; Shelly Grotjan Kent of Lafayette, IN; step-children, Carolyn Spaniol Mike of Portland, OR; Stan Underwood of Hardin, IL; brother, Jerry Hise Jane of Knoxville, IL; sister, Joni Layette of Decatur; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and best friend, Odie his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack Hise and Bobby Hise.
