Dear Marti and family, Bill was one of the most interesting men I have ever met. His life was full of action and thoughts. Although he was often silent when I visited, he did tell me about his work, his ambition, and the trip he made west. Inspite of his failing health, he managed to attend church and to visit his wife when she was in a nursing home. i always enjoyed visiting them at their home. I believe he contributed much to helping others, and certainly he was a man of Faith who served God. Ma y you take comfort in that knowledge and the assurance that Bill was and is a child of God. Bill and I met in High School and became instant friends. We did many things together and enjoyed each others company. When we graduated we lost contact with each other for a time. It was good to get back together even though it was only electronically.Bill was a great friend and I will miss him. Thoughts and prayers go out to Bill's family during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Bill for several years on pharmacy systems for HSHS. He also mentored me on my first consulting job. While Bill was a walking encyclopedia on the system details and could be serious when the job demanded it, it was his zany sense of humor that I remember most. I still use his term "coffee calves" which he used to describe those who had to have that morning coffee to function. On one site visit to Belleville, someone had made homemade dog biscuits and Bill decided to sample them. He tried them with French onion dip and declared that they were the best snack he'd had in a long time. After that we always tried to keep a box of Milk Bones on hand when Bill came to visit and he would eat some to give everyone a good laugh. ?? God speed, Bill. Prayers and blessings for your family.

Shooting gophers, driving around in Model A (his was named Walter and min Seymour), Columbian Squires and tomfoolery in general had us as High school pals. After he went to NDSU and then into the Army our paths separated. But we sure had a time when we had it. Fare well, my friend.
