Bill and I were stationed together at Tuy Hoa AFB for the years of 67 and 68. Before this Bill was an instructor at Lowry AFB in Denver, CO and then he was sent to Cannon AFB in NM. He owned a 55 or 56 Chevy that he drove to Mexico and had the interior tucked and pleated in black leather. I was with him when he was hit by a stray bullet. It .knocked Bill to the floor and bloodied his chest. We left VN at the end of 1968 and for the most part lost touch. I believe he was discharged when he got back to the US. He did stop at Cannon AFB in NM and stayed overnight. We lost touch until about 2015. The last time I heard from him he told me things were not going well for him health wise. We both enjoyed visiting on the phone after getting in touch again. Slow hand salute to you Bill. Rest in peace.
