William H Monroe's Obituary
William Bill H. Monroe of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Decatur, IL, died August 27, 2009 at Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He served in the United States Coast Guard for four years and the United States Air Force for six years. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion,
After various jobs, Bill worked as a security guard at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Inez Monroe, brother Max, and stepdaughter Patti Bauman.
He is survived by his wife, Leona: stepdaughter, Sandra Bill Baker; granddaughters, Brenda Keith Korte, Paula Tommy Raggio, Andrea Scott Piper; nine great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret.
Graveside services will be at the Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL, on September 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
