William C. Roarick's Obituary
William Clarence Roarick, 94, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
William was born June 13, 1924, in Decatur, IL to Fred and Martha (Bolz) Roarick. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He married Rita B. Krajewski on March 13, 1946, in Decatur, IL. She passed away April 1, 2012. William was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He loved traveling and he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by his five children, Stephen (Becky) Roarick of Des Moines, IA, Gregory Roarick of St. Louis, MO, Thomas (Patrice) Roarick of Bedford, TX, Jane Green of Phoenix, AZ and James (Maria) Roarick of Decatur, IL; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of William Roarick will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, before the service at the church. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials may be directed to the church.
