William C. Wombacher's Obituary
William C. Wombacher, 81, of Decatur passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Funeral Liturgy will be 11:00 am Monday March 15, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Grant officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Sts. James and Patrick Catholic Church.
William was born on December 31, 1928 in Decatur the son of William F. and Marie O'Connell Wombacher. He was a retired cost accounting supervisor for Caterpillar and a graduate of Millikin University class of 1951. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Sts. James and Patrick Catholic Church, Knight's of Columbus Council #577, American Legion Castle Williams Post #105, and the Sons and Daughters of Ireland. He was also a former member of the Earthmover Credit Union Board. He married Patricia R. Bozell on February 18, 1986 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; step-children, Debbie Lessley Mark of Decatur; James LaRock of Peoria; Vicki Smith of Gridley, CA; Mike Bozell of Champaign; eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte.
