Willie Bass' Obituary
Decatur- Willie Bass, 62, of Decatur, passed away Saturday October 5, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 11, 1951 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the son of Roosevelt and Helen (Currie) Bass. He was previously employed with Wagner Casting Co retiring after thirty-two years of service. He owned/operated Bass Place for ten years along with his brothers. He enjoyed gardening and sports cars and loved to watch basketball.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Helen of Decatur, brothers LV and Colliga Bass both of Decatur, sister Dorothy Faye Bass of Decatur, nephews Daniel Dowd and Rodrick Bass of Memphis, TN, special friend Sheila Neal, special uncle Alonzo Currie of Brownsville, TN, special cousins Patricia C. Currie, Russell Currie, Rodrick Currie, and Sheila Bennett all of the Memphis, TN area, and a host of loving nieces, great-nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
He was reunited in Heaven with his father and brother RV Bass.
Homegoing services to celebrate his life will be 12 noon Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 and for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
