Willie Mae Harper's Obituary
Willie Mae Harper, 80 of Decatur, Illinois went to be with the Lord at 5:43 A.M. Sunday, July 30, 2006 in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Services will be held Thursday August 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity CME Church officiated by Rev. Patricia Havis. Visitation is one hour before the service. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
Mrs. Harper was born on May 15, 1926 in Brownville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Pearl & Tom Curry. Willie Mae retired from Eldorado Apparel Company and she was a member of Trinity CME Church. She was married to the late Tommy Lee Harper until 1969. Willie Mae enjoyed family, gardening, canning, sewing and eating vanilla ice cream.
She is survived by one son, Tommy Lee Harper, Jr., two daughters, Shirley Harper-Louis, Gladell Harper all of Decatur, Illinois. Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren ; special sister-in-law Hazel Warnsley, special cousins Alice Rice & Edna Palmer; special friends Lucille Smith & Connie Bell and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Jeffery Lee Harper and very special friend Tommie Mann.
The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Duncan, St. Mary's Hospital and the wonderful staff at McKinley Court.
