Willie James Hill's Obituary
Willie James Hill Sr, 73, of Decatur, IL passed away April 20, 2023 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Willie was born August 4, 1949 in Louise, MS, the son of Lucille Hill. He married Mary A. Jenkins in Louise, MS during 1969.
Willie was a plant supervisor for ADM, retiring in 2012. He also worked independently as an HVAC specialist. During his leisure time, Willie enjoyed playing pool and bowling. He will always be remembered as an all-around handyman and was always quite the comedian.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; children, Willie Hill, Jr. (Michelle) of Decatur, IL, Sheryl Houston (Timothy) of Elkhart, IN; siblings, Ruby Henderson of Chicago, IL, Velma Adams of Chicago, IL, Charlie Johnson (Bertha) of Chicago, IL, Robert Hills of Chicago, IL, Allen Johnson (Linda) of Fayetteville, NC, Isaiah Johnson (Angela) of Jackson, TN, Lottie Scales (Earl) of Madison, MS, Elizabeth Page of Belzoni, MS, Sammy Johnson (Lula Bell) of Belzoni, MS; five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 – 11 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
