Willie Wade's Obituary
Willie Wade Jr., 61, of Decatur went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2014.
Willie was born on June 16, 1953 in Decatur to the union of Willie Wade Sr. and Carolyn Marshall (Jones). He was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church and a member of the Male Chorus. He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and attended Richland Community College. He enjoyed watching football and basketball on television, sitting on the porch watching the neighborhood kids, working in the yard, and loved eating. He married Virginia Bond on December 22, 1973 in Decatur. He worked 33 years for Wagner Castings, 5 years for A.E. Staley Manufacturing, and four and a half for the city of Decatur.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Virginia; sons, Trace Wade (Ebony) of Decatur; Quincy Wade of Atlanta, GA; Willie Wade III of Decatur; daughter, Tamika Wade Clemmons (Lamar) of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Jack Russell (Angela) of Decatur; Tommie Russell (Pat) of St. Louis, MO; Kermit Wade of Decatur; Greg Wade (Donnetta) of Decatur; Kim Wade of Jackson, MS; sisters, Judy Isom of Urbana; Gwendolyn O’Neil (Sheldon) of Houston, TX; Rebecca Taylor of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Trace Michael Wade, Quincy Wade Jr., Quentin Wade, Brylan Wade, Lamar Wade, Amerie Owens, Devontre Wade, Latrevion Wade, Lawrence Wade, Courtney Flinn, and Quiana Wade; God-children, Aliyah Pugh and Aubrey Pugh; sisters-in-law, Teresa Wade of Joliet; Margie Reed, Annette Topps (LT), and Clara Rawls of Decatur; Nellie Bond and Betty Butler of Nashville, TN; brother-in-law, Jackey Bond of Decatur; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Michael Russell and David Russell.
Homegoing Celebration will be 12 Noon, Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Jeffro officiating. Visitation will be 10AM – 12 noon Saturday in the funeral home.
