Wilma Adomako's Obituary
Wilma Jean Adomako, 63, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Wilma was born October 29, 1952, in Brownsville, TN to Charlie T. and Alma (Rawls) Bond, Sr. She married LeRoy Dinkins in 1984. He passed away in 1987. She later married Kwabena Badou Adomako in 1996 and passed away in 2015. Wilma was a member of Jasper Street Church of Christ. She was employed at Adolf Meyer Mental Health Center, Department of Human Services and retired from McFarland Mental Health Center as a Mental Health Technician.
She is survived by her two sisters, Pamela (Lindsay) Ramjohn of Atlanta, GA and Davida (Demetrius Buckley) Bond of Decatur; two brothers, Charlie T. (Stephanie) Bond, Jr. of Decatur and Cedric M. Smith of St. Louis, MO; two half-brothers, Reginald Smith of Birmingham, AL and Christopher Smith of Chicago; nieces, Almesha Oldham and Jamela Ramjohn; nephew, Tyrone Oldham; aunt, Ruby Winters of Decatur; three uncles, George Rawls of Humbolt, TN, Wilbert (Ella) Rawls of Decatur and Zannie (Toni) Rawls of Decatur; close friends, Maggie Anderson and Jean Tyson; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, LeRoy and her second husband, Kwabena Badou Adomako.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Jasper Street Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and also from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
