Wilma R. Cruit's Obituary
Moweaqua-Wilma R. Cruit, 84, of Moweaqua passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 in her home along with her faithful companion and best friend Buddy.
Wilma was born January 22, 1931 in Bone Gap, Illinois, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Rodgers) Henton. She was previously employed as a waitress at the Moweaqua Bowling Alley and in the cafeteria at the Moweaqua School. She enjoyed going for rides with her dog Buddy. She married Donald Houchins and he preceded her in death. She then married Homer Cruit and he preceded her in death.
Wilma leaves behind her son James Houchins and Carla, daughter Marilyn Lowe, sister-in-law Betty Jo Henton, grandsons Chad Houchins and Tim Houchins, and great-grandchildren Alyson, Olivia, Aaron, and Gavin Houchins.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one brother, two sisters, daughter Elaine Ann Houchins, son-in-law Mike Lowe, grandson Mark Lowe, and great-granddaughter Ashlee Houchins.
Services to celebrate Wilma’s life will be 11 AM Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Bone Gap Cemetery in Bone Gap, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Moweaqua Fire Department or Ambulance Service.
