Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Papa" Sapp 88 of Decatur died at 11:23 am Wednesday May 05, 2004 in his residence.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be 12 noon Saturday May 08, 2004 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home where visitation will be one hour before services. Rev. Bill Pruitt will be celebrating the service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Woodrow Sapp, Jr, in care of Jody Osman 1536 North College Decatur, Illinois. Woody was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on March 27, 1916 the son of Samuel and Magnora Sapp. He was a laborer working in the Wagner Castings Plants for over 37 years. He married Ella Louise Bilyeu on March 21, 1936 in Saint Charles, Missouri; she preceded him in death on April 28, 2002.
Surviving include his two sons, Woodrow Sapp, Jr. of Decatur and Jerry Sapp and wife Lynette also of Decatur, one daughter Donna Osman of Decatur. Four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren also survive Woody.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son.
