Bernard Fredrick Evans 79 of Decatur formerly of Argenta and Cerro Gordo died at 5:45 pm Tuesday August 10, 2004 in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.

Bernard Evans was born December 1, 1924 in Piatt County, the son of Benjamin Frank Evans and Vina Caster Evans. He married Maxine White on February 7, 1943. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are his sons, Fred and wife Kay of Argenta; Gary and wife Jill of Nelsonville, WI; Michael and wife Sharon of Decatur; Mark and wife Crystal of Cerro Gordo; daughters-in-law, Arlene Evans of Soddy Daisy, TN; Vicky Evans of Oreana; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Elverta Baker of Monticello; and brother, Ben Evans of Monticello.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister and two sons, Terry Evans and Ronald Evans.
