I remember a party a Betty's house right before Shana was leaving for AK. When the Slater gang showed up, I found you sitting on a bench next to the house. You were holding Zach. The look on your face was priceless. I sat with you and we had a conversation about how proud you were of Betty and Shana for all they had accomplished in life. You looked down at Zach, smiled, and then told me he is the most precious of all. It warmed my heart and brought a tear to both of our eyes. Its a moment I will never forget.Shana snapped a few pics when the kids were at the hospital visiting you. In those pics I saw that same look in your face. I am so glad that you got to have a few visit with Shana and the kids along with your own kids. I can see they all lit up your face.I will miss you dearly Billie. May you rest in peace.David Slater
My fondest memory was seeing you at Betty's house at Shana's going away party before they went to AK. You were sitting on the deck holding Zach and I could just see how proud you were at that very moment. When we spoke I could hear in your voice how truly thankful you were.I saw that same look in the pictures Shana posted when she brought the kids to see you in the hospital. In the midst of all your pain and sorrow, when the kids were with you, your proud, happy face came out. I will thank God for the time you had with your great grandchildren every single day.
