One of my best friends! We will always remember him..
Sorry to hear Carl lost his struggle. I grew up about four blocks from him and we were friends since grade school. Sincerest condolences to Mrs. Carl, every time I saw him he always spoke very highly of her and loved her. See you on the other side brother. Doug Byerly,

Carl was an amazing uncle he taught me how to drive the boat he used to have. I miss him dearly.

Carl and I deployed together to the western Pacific in 1986. He was always loud and boisterous, the life of the party that everyone naturally gravitated toward.
Fair winds and following seas. Marine rest your oar.
I loved Carl like a brother. An annoying younger brother but a wonderful wonderful man.

Went on a poker run in Carl's boat and had two of my grandchildren, Tommy and Jordan. At the end, it was the kids that had winning hands. Tommy thought it was cool to think you could go from place to place by boat and play a game like that.
