Julie: I am sorry I was unable to get to the visitation or the Mass for your Mom; I have two young grandchildren staying with me and did not have anyone to stay with them. I am so sad about your mom and will really miss running into her; she was always so full of life and joy. I will always remember her most as walking around the West side of town stopping to chat with many of us as she went along. I was fortunate to be able to see her recently. Take of yourselves. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Family has always been one of my greatest gifts. God has surrounded me with some of the most loving and caring people. Celeste is high on that list of blessings. Not only did she set a good example to all of us as a good wife and mother, she was always a true friend to the rest of us, family and friends. No matter when I would phone her, either to thank her for her latest Christmas gift to my family or just to ask how she was doing, she immediately launched into asking me about my children and grandchildren. And, of course, she was always proud to tell me about the latest accomplishments of her family. She had the utmost pride in her children and that same pride passed along to her grandchildren. I have kept numerous letters from Celeste, typed on her own typewriter, because they are all beautifully written. It is so sad to hear of Celeste passing away. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Celeste was a very sweet and caring lady. I worked at Dunker Electric and she would come in and we became very close. She would tell me about her trips and health issues and would ask about my children and how I was doing. I moved away a year ago and have thought of her from time to time. She was an exceptional lady! I always said I wanted to look as good as her when I got her age. Celeste has always been one of my favorite people since meeting her about 10 years ago. She was so pretty and nice. My job was to light up her life by keeping all of her lamps in good working condition but, I really think she lit up my life more than I did hers.

It was always good to see Celeste when she came to Sun City West to stay with her sister Dolores (my mom). We always made it a point to be sure and visit when she came down. We (Donna, Barb and myself) would go out for dinner/lunch often and all of us would listen to stories of yester year. East Saint Louis, Belleville, Decatur were always hot topics and the grandkids. At least the family was able to celebrate her birthday together in Sun Ctiy West. We will miss her. We send our love & condolences to Julie and Mike.

I took care of Celeste at Dr Fior's office and she made my day when she would come in because she always always had a smile on her face. Celeste was such a sweet and caring woman and it was such an honor to know, love and take care of her. Celeste will be greatly missed by me and the entire staff at Dr Fior's office.
