Clara Esther Zientara's Obituary
Clara Esther Zientara 86 of Decatur died Saturday November 20, 2004 in her home.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 11:00 am Wednesday November 24, 2004 in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Damery officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Clara was born on November 15, 1918 in Decatur the daughter of Rudolph and Minnie Schultz. She worked as a floral designer at Daut Brothers Florists, as an assistant teacher for special needs children, and as a secretary at South Shores Elementary School before her retirement. She was a long time member of Mt Calvary Lutheran Church where she was part of the Ladies Bible Study and where she served the Lord in many ways over the years. She loved the Lord and overcame by his blood. She married Henry "Ted" Zientara on December 16, 1939. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1995.
Surviving are her sons, Wayne Zientara and wife Paula of Novi, MI; David Zientara and wife Mary of Houston, TX; daughters, Linda Harris and husband Larry of Springfield, IL; Sandra Reichmann and husband Wilmer of Cedarburg, WI; and Janet Newland and husband Brad of Decatur; grandchildren Gina Zientara of Ypsilanti, MI; Alison Zientara of Houston, TX; Heidi Harris Bromund and husband Dave of Indianapolis, IN; Todd Reichmann and wife Leanne of Singapore; Adam Reichmann and Wife Lisa Wilson of St. Louis, MO; Eric Newland and wife Jamie of Decatur; and Brian Newland of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Hugh and Claire Bromund of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Betty Moore and husband Dick of Decatur; and Norma Atteberry of Elberta, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted, brother, Walter, and sisters Marilyn Ananias and Dorothy Bork.
