Claudia befriended me while I was away in the military in the Middle East 2009 and 2010. We became penpals and her letters were uplifting during tough times. She also sent care packages they the Soldiers would devour in seconds.

So many memories of Claudia. This one goes way back to when her and Andre came to our place in Evanston. Claudia, Laura, Andre, me, and my Dad mowing.
Claudia and I shared the love for the same dog. Dude to her and Duke to me. Sadly she had to re-home Dude three years ago and I was the lucky person who was able to adopt him and love him unconditionally to this day. Although I had never met Claudia we became friends via Facebook because of "our dog". We communicated regularly and just a few days before her passing. I feel a kindred connection to her and I am deeply saddened over her death and I feel a great loss. I will miss sending her updates and photos of Duke's active life here in Ohio but in knowing all of her health issues over the past three years I am somewhat comforted by knowing that she is no longer in pain. My sincere sympathy to her family at this sad time.
