Although not meeting them until recent years, they will always be remembered as an outstanding, gracious, and generous Christian couple, who exuded their faith in JESUS and put feet to the Gospel! The Hawkins family got together often at Willis and Joy's house. As one of the many kids, I especially remember our Christmas celebrations. Dale made these times special. Even if all the aromas from the kitchen weren't enough, Dale's antics proved that he was the life of the party. His enjoyment of life and people was abundant. When it finally came time to eat, we knew who would deliver the blessing. It would be Uncle Dale, back by popular demand.
