Dolores M. Hilton's Obituary
Decatur – Dolores M. Hilton, 78, of Decatur, passed away Monday June 15, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Dolores was born on June 9, 1937 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Francis (Rebert) Hedenberg. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School class of 1955, worked as a Radiologic Technician for St. Mary’s Hospital for thirty-nine and a half years. She enjoyed eating dinner with her sister and friends, attending church activities, and spending time with family. Dolores was a member of the Our Lady Of The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Our Lady Of The Holy Spirit altar and rosary society, Moose Lodge Decatur Chapter, and a member of the American Legion Post 105 auxiliary. On June 22, 1956, she married the love of her life, Glen R. Hilton in Decatur, IL. They shared fifty-two wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2008.
Surviving are her daughters: Laura (Steven) Boyd of Oreana, IL, and Susan (Michael) Dicks of Pawnee, IL; sister, Jean Lourash of Decatur; grandchildren, Andrew (Summer) Boyd, Ashley (Matthew) Burnette, Amanda Dicks; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Kadence, Cooper, and many nieces, nephews other family members, and friends. Dolores was also survived by her faithful feline, Pretty Girl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R. Hilton, parents, Francis and Harry Hedenberg, daughter, Ann Hilton, two brothers, Frank Hedenberg and Joseph Hedenberg, and one sister, Mary Ann Silvia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Our Lady of The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mt. Zion, Very Rev. Joseph M. Molloy, V.F., Celebrant, and assisted by Deacon Jim Ghiglione. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter.
