Donnal Kenneth Davis' Obituary
Donnal Kenneth Davis, 84, of Decatur, IL passed away in his home on August 9, 2018. Donnal was born in Raven’s Den, AR, in a log cabin, May 13, 1934, son of Elza and Amy (Hooper) Davis. He married Patricia Lenover of Decatur on September 1, 1956. Donnal leaves behind his wife, two children Rick Allan Davis of Surprise AZ, and Tamara Nihiser of Decatur IL, a brother, Frank Davis of Mountainburg, AR, a sister Janelle Jackson of Monticello, IL, two grandchildren, Rickie and Katilyn Nihiser and two great grandchildren Ramyiah Nihiser and Makhi Jones.
Donnal worked as a Draftsman at Mississippi Valley Structural Steel for many years. Afterwards he dedicated much time to working with the American Red Cross and Meals On Wheels. Donnal also enjoyed many other actvities such as bowling, golfing, and hunting, but most of all was fishing, especially with his four best fishing buddies Leonard Emert and Don Peterson of St. Louis, Herman Weyen and Bill Klekamp of Decatur, IL.
Donnal was preceded in death by both his parents and a special sister-in-law, Nancy Acks. As per Don’s wishes there will be no services. Any memorials can be sent to Meals On Wheels or St. Jude’s Children Hospital on his behalf.
