Clinton-Dorothy Mae Campbell, 80, of Clinton, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 in Clinton Liberty Village.
Dorothy was born January 20, 1936 in Patoka, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Sadie (Myers) Lange. She retired from GROWMARK Inc. with over twenty years of service. Dorothy was a member of the Wapella Christian Church and enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafting, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family. She married Howard Campbell September 30, 1956 in Clinton. They shared over fifty-nine years together.
Dorothy leaves behind her husband Howard of Clinton, son Kyle (Sara) Campbell of Cleveland, TN, daughters Cristan (Scott) Philipp of Olathe, KS and Corina (Jim) Trail of Lane, IL, sisters Phyllis Alwood and Rosemary Campbell both of Clinton, IL, grandchildren Neil Campbell, Logan Campbell, Payton Campbell, Tess Campbell, Nick (Betsy) Philipp, Travis (Christian) Philipp, Luke (Lindsey) Philipp, Cristina (Adam) Scott, and Justin (Brooklyn) Trail, and great-grandchildren Barrett Philipp, Morgan Fortune, Austin Fortune, Gage Scott, and Hayden Scott.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ernest Lange Jr., and grandson Rhett Campbell.
The family will be hosting a service to celebrate Dorothy’s life at 11 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 in the Wapella Christian Church, 407 Main St, Wapella. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the services at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Wapella Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
