Ebony Jewel Howard's Obituary
Ebony was born July 30, 1982, to Jesse Warfield and Willie Dean Howard in Decatur, IL.
Ebony was a Happy, joyful person who loved LIFE and brought joy to those around her. She was a very spiritual-minded person. She dedicated her LOVE to her God, Jehovah on July 5, 2003.
She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2001. She furthered her education by attending Richland Community College for a period of time. She was a Mary Kay consultant and continued in many educational programs. Ebony began working at Walmart in June of 2001. From there she had many supervisory positions which continued until her death on November 10, 2022. She loved her job because she was a people person and she met wonderful people that became part of her life. She looked forward to customers she had gotten to know, coming in the store. Not only did she love people, she loved animals also. Everyone that knew Ebony knew that she had a beautiful smile. Ebony was daddy’s girl. She loved her father. Of course, her mother was the most special one.
Ebony was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas G. and Jessica Pauline Warfield, and Jim and Temettris Howard and several uncles and cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her parents. Her brothers; Jesse Paul Howard (Danrail) of Decatur, IL, Gregory Griffin, Springfield, IL; Sister; Hope Wallace (Parrish) Richmond, Virginia; Aunts: Joel Webster, Gloria Jordan (John), Jackie Warfield, Springfield, IL; Beverly Warfield, Metropolis, IL; Freda Parsons (Chester), Decatur, IL; Geraldine Montgomery (Johnny), Denver, CO. Uncles: George Warfield, Larry Warfield (Eloise), Roger Warfield (Mattie), Decatur, IL. She has a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. Also, her dog, Drake.
A visitation will be held at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St., Decatur, IL on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 10:00 to 12:00p.m. Funeral service will follow visitation with burial at Graceland Cemetery immediately after services.
