I have many fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Wittke celebrating their wedding anniversary with my parents every year. Actually, my memories are of the babysitters when we were left behind, but I do love that my parents shared this celebration with the Wittkes. Mr. Wittke was an especially good friend to my father. He was one of the last people to see my father alive, and I remember him now, sitting in my dad's chair, days after my dad's death, talking fondly about my dad and making sure we all were okay.
