To the Evan Johnson Family: Yesterday, I was saddened to learn of Evan's passing. I had a number of cases with him in the 1980s and 1990s. He was a skilled attorney and always one of the most thorough advocates who managed to keep his sense of humor in difficult matters. Lit a candle in memory of Evan H. Johnson
I learned a great deal about life from Evan and many of my father's friends. As a teenager and a young adult, I had the privilege of spending a significant amount of time around Evan. Whether we were golfing or playing cards, he was always the first to ask me how I was doing and he genuinely meant it every time. Every day Spent with Evan and his friends was an opportunity for me to learn what and sometimes, what not to do. Amy and family, I used to swim with you on SAC/DSC and I always enjoyed your parents. Your Dad's toothy grin wearing all white was always priceless. He and my mom (Dema Jane Martin) would exchange Hutsonville High stories at our meets, and now they can do that in heaven. He is certainly gone too soon.
