Irma Lynn Mardis' Obituary
Irma Lynn Mardis, 73, of Decatur, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at McKinley Court.
Irma was born July 9, 1943, in Decatur, IL to John Allen and Ilene Irma (Duncan) Suzewitz. She married John Thomas Mardis, Sr. He passed away in 1970. She was a member of Harristown Camp Wilson Foursquare Church. She enjoyed coloring, going out to eat, her church, but most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, John Thomas Mardis, Jr. of Mt. Sterling, IL; sister, Georgia (Richard L.) Clark of Decatur; and three granddaughters, Natalie, Erica and Patty.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Thomas Mardis, Sr.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Irma Mardis will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Carlyle Cemetery in Lake Fork. The family has asked for friends and family that would like to attend the graveside service to meet at Harristown Camp Wilson Foursquare Church 7570 W Main St, Decatur, IL 62522 at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, to follow them to the cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
