When the preacher ask if anyone had a memory to share I wanted to tell about the memory Mom has told many times:
When Jim and Barb got married Mom had someone bake them a wedding cake. And after they were married they came back to Granny's to share the cake with everyone.
My fond memory of Jim was how he took care of Barb during her illness. He stayed by her side and helped her every step of the way. What a blessing to watch such love and devotion. When Barb accepted Christ as her Savior Jim was right there accepting Jesus with her. They were both baptized that day one after the other. I know God has a special place for them in heaven ..still together ❤️
My fond memory of Jim is how he fought for Barb during her 5 year illness. He stood up for her regarding healthcare decisions and stayed by her side. He unselfishly gave us his hobbies to take care of her. I know God has a special place for him in heaven and Barb is right beside him ❤️
Jim would walk over and visit with me when I could not get out of the house.

I have many fond memories. I enjoyed visiting with Jim especially in summer mowing, weeding, cutting, trimming... We both were glad to do such things.
In the most recent visits we talked about how we'll all be joined together in heaven.
I'm thankful for memories and that I'll one day join him because of God's great love for us all/the world.
May the Lord comfort all his children. He loved y'al very much.
