James Edward Meador's Obituary
James Jim Edward Meador of Decatur, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 6, 2006.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. on Thursday May 11, 2006 at Garver Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Sharon Elms/Pines Care Facilities or the Alzheimer Association. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jim was born in Chicago on April 10, 1942. He was the son of L.M. Doc and Amy Meador. He was an electrician for 35 years and an active member of the Local 146 Union. Jim was an avid gun collector, enjoyed fly fishing and tinkering in the garage. He married Susan Kinzer Harper in 1979. He was a caring, trustworthy and hardworking husband, father and friend and will be soulfully missed.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years; mother Amy Meador Decatur; first wife, Patricia McLean-Hall; son Randy Meador; daughters Justine Meador, Michelle Tony Ewing, Tiffany Kerry Todd Waller; sisters Judy Merle Sims, Linda Hurd, and Sandy Stafford; grandchildren McLain, Alyssa, Nate, Emma and Macy.
Jim was preceded in death by his father and special brother-in-law, Zach Hurd.
Our deepest appreciation is extended to the Local 146 Union, Dr. Carlos Fior and staff Decatur and to the staff at Sharon Elms Peoria for the love and care that Jim received.
