Joseph Wells' Obituary
Decatur- Joseph C. Mason-Wells, 30, loving husband, brother, son and uncle, of Decatur passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011.
A gathering to celebrate and remember the life of Joseph will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 with an open time for family and friends to speak at 6:30 p.m. at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will be at a later date.
Joseph was born May 1, 1981 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Charles and Linda Lewis Wells. He graduated from Mt. Zion High School. Joseph had a love and passion for music and travel and enjoyed playing video games. He met Jeff Mason on December 2, 2005, and went onto adopt two loving cats Dasie and Lady Yunalesca. They had their Civil Union Ceremony at the Macon County Court House on June 3, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph C. Mason-Wells Memorial Fund at Staley’s Credit Union.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his husband; Jeff Mason-Wells, father; Chuck Wells of Cedar Park, TX, mother; Linda Wells and partner Gene Merriman of Decatur, sisters; Kimberly Castoro and husband Anthony of Cedar Park, TX, Kristy Rulli and husband Matt, of Browns Mills, NJ, and Jenna Woods and husband Cody of Elwin, grandmother; Monica Wells of Decatur, mother-in law; Rosemary Mason and partner Glinna Higgins of Decatur, nieces and nephews; Araceli, Trinity, Drake, Kalia, Levi, Layla, and Jillian, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, friends, and special friends; Shannon Harper, Miranda Sowers, and Shelly Bricker
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; John E. and Leona Lewis, and Kenneth Wells, and aunt; Carolyn June Lewis. Joseph will join his best friend in the world Chelsea.
Joseph will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
