I met Kari online shortly after moving to Seymour, IL. At that time, I was a housewife to a trucker who was gone a week or two at a time. I was lonely and looking for local friends to meet and boy did I hit the jackpot with Kari and her amazing family! Kari welcomed me into their home with open arms and we became quite close. I babysat her two oldest children Kolby & Addison from time to time and really became part of their family. Kari was always a blast to hang out with, like the sister I never had. I loved her bubbly, loving spirit and her amazing fashion sense. Kari was a joy in every life that she touched. 💓💓💓 Rest in peace my dear friend. You are loved and missed by many and I try to look out for miss Addi who is struggling with the loss of her precious mama.
Our hearts go out to the family of Kari , may you find peace and comfort in the days, weeks and years ahead. Kari and my daughter Jennifer were friends and these two and the other girls were like the best of friends. She will be truly missed. Respectfully, from the Bates family.
How do I begin to say goodbye to you. I live in Florida now but when I would come back home to visit we would connect. We were more than just schoolmates we were friends. I have amazing memories dancing with you in show choir. Putting on that blue sparkly dress and trying not to bust out. You had the best smile and laugh. Dancing and music was our thing. And our adult life we still loved listening to the old hits. I will miss seeing your Facebook posts about you hanging with your adorable children. Posting funny pictures and just being you. I always counted on you to be there. I never thought you wouldn't be. I have no words to describe how I felt when I heard the news you passed away. You are the most amazing person. My heart breaks for you Jason, Kolby, Addi, Jaron, Jordan and Lynzi. Your mom was such an incredible mom and wife. The way she talked about each of you, and her face lit up with pride. I hate that she is gone way too soon! I didn't get to see her in person very often, but was so thankful she and I were connected on FB and could chat occasionally. She truly can light up a room, will forever dance to her own music, love harder than most, adore and cherish Jason, her babies, and every second making memories together, and have such a great sense of humor. I miss her terribly already. She was definitely the rainbow in the storm. Fly high Kari Anne. You will forever be in our hearts 💕
I am so sorry for your loss Diane, Aunt Karin and Jason and family. These last few days I have read so many of the messages to all of you and the overwhelming message I read is that Kari was such a giving person and that she never met a stranger. I dislike Facebook for so many reasons, but the only good thing is it connects people who otherwise wouldn’t be in such frequent contact. I didn’t see Kari much in person anymore because families grow and move and we just don’t all get together anymore, but I could always see and read about her life on Facebook. She was always posting funny things that I knew came from
her usually without even looking. I noticed many times how many people were her bestie and I often thought “good lord she has a lot of best friends!” I now see she really did have that many best friends. It seems like she made everyone feel special. I always saw her posting about making up huge batches of cookies or meals and dropping them off to friends all over town. She was always posting uplifting comments to everyone! She loved her kiddos fiercely and loved every minute of it. Without even seeing her the past few years I can confidently say she loved dancing and singing, cooking for her family and anyone and everyone, snuggles with her kiddos, fresh clean sheets, spending time with her kids, getting her groove back with a new hairdo and nails and talking with or meeting up with her friends. I will truly miss her making me laugh literally every single day! I’ve almost commented back to her numerous times this week. Sending prayers and comfort and peace to all of you. I am quite certain she is in heaven blasting her music, singing and dancing and watching over all of you.
