Karen and Rick…its been along time I was Paula Whitscell back then and Karen and I shared our first apt. together!…your mom was always so funny and nice to me…..I am so sorry for your loss.
I met Rick our junior year in high school. The 1st time I went to his house after school, his mom came home from work with a big bag of Long John Silvers. Used to love Long John Silvers. Anyway, I was in the living room when they went into the kitchen to eat. She told me to "come on in! There's plenty for everyone!". So I did. I was almost done when I realized she was eating a lunch meat sandwich. She had fed me her dinner. I still feel a little guilty about it to this day. But, that was the way she was. Kay would do anything for anyone. She was a genuine sweetie. Sorry for your loss.
