Kay Koshiniski's Obituary
Decatur – Kay (Mary Kathryn) Koshinski, 76, of Decatur, died Sunday, March 1, 2014 in Decatur Memorial.
Kay was born on February 25, 1938 in Freeburg, IL the daughter of Ernst and Mary (Morton) Burgard. She worked for many years at the Decatur Post Office and then went to work at the Postal Credit Union. Kay married Eugene R. Koshinski on September 11, 1957, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2006. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, one sister, and one grandson.
Kay is survived by her sons: Kenneth Koshinski of Decatur; Richard Koshinski (wife, Elizabeth) of Killeen, TX, and Keith Koshinski (wife, Theresa) of Decatur; daughter, Karen Andes (husband, Walter) of Eolia, MO; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; sister, Beverly Feist of O’Fallon, MO; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in Macon County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
