We just wanted to tell the family that our thoughts are with you. We know Teresa, Eric and the children. We also had your mother as a teacher @ Lakeview. We know she fought valiantly and she is certainly in a better place. Sincerely, Ron and Barb James Decatur, IL US
Jennifer, Teresa, Tim, Craig: So sorry to hear about your mom. Kaye was a very special person who worked very hard to help others achieve their best. She did a wonderful job with her family and will long be remembered for her loving kindness. May you be comforted in knowing that she will be remembered warmly by all those who knew her. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Kay. I have so many great memories of her but the one that will always stick with me is "Kaye the Cleaning Lady". Being around her all of those years must have rubbed off because I keep a pretty clean house myself : She was a wonderful mother and wife and I will always cherish the time I was able to spend with her. I am very sorry I couldn't attend the visitation. I wish I could have seen everyone and there are so many little ones now. My how we've all grown up so fast. I know one thing is true…..Marty and Kaye were both wonderful parents and I know that they are both smiling right now and so proud of how wonderful all of their children have grown to be so caring and thoughtful, just as they were. Jen and Doug, I'm so sorry that I missed you both and I know we have lost touch. I'm hoping you will contact me so we can catch up – there's so much to talk about. Honestly, I always considered the Smith family as my second home growing up and those times will stick with me forever. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this rough time.Sheri Timmons Lisle, IL US

Dearest Teresa, while I know your loss must seem unbearable right now, after hearing the services today, I can imagine Marty in a letter jacket with Kaye in a cheerleading skirt by his side waving her pompoms and cheering for you all.I love you girl. Jackie Decatur, IL US
Teresa, you are in my prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know first hand what a difficult time you are going through right now. The outpouring of love and thoughtfulness you will receive from your friends and family will help get you through this tough time. Just try to remember the good times with your mom. Your faith will help you, and just knowing where your mom is right now will help ease your pain. Now you and your family have a special guardian angel….Hang in there, Love Autumn Mt. Zion, IL US
