Larry Dean Johnson, Jr. 35, of Cisco, died on Monday, June 19, 2006.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be 2 pm Sat. June 24, 2006 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. The family will receive family and friends from 11 am until the service time. In lieu of flowers an education fund has been established at the Land of Lincoln Credit Union, 2890 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur 62526. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. The family request casual attire.
Larry was born on May 3, 1971 in Decatur, the son of Larry Dean and Mary Ann Schollenbruch Johnson, Sr. He was a heavy equipment operator for Custom Underground of Bloomington. He married Kari A. Kramer on August 29 1992 in Cisco. Larry loved his family; he was an Illini, Cardinal, Dallas Cowboy and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed cheering his teams and pulling for Mark Martin.
Surviving are his wife, Kari; children: Anthonie, Austin and Rusty; father, Larry Johnson, Sr. and wife Nancy; mother, Mary Ann Meyer and husband Eugene; sisters: Yvonda Johnson, Tanya Bowles and husband Mike; stepsister, Tracy Short; stepbrother, Toby Short and wife Brandy; paternal grandmother, Izola Faye Downs; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather and one uncle.
Larry will be sadly missed by all those whose life he touched and loved him. We will always remember his loving smile and off-the-wall comments.
