I was thinking about my baby brother Lawrence “Larry” J. Heynen, who passed away 11/30/09 at age 47, and came across this Larry’s obituary. This Larry is from Decatur, and that is where my Dad’s family was from. My dad, Jerome Joseph Heynen, was born in Decatur, Il, as were all his sisters. He served in the Air Force. His father was William Frank Heynen. I am sure we are related and bet that Larry’s Dad and my dad’s dad were brothers. Just thinking about that and reading about Larry, makes me wish I had known him.
My baby brother, Larry, and my dad, Jerry, were awesome people as are all the other Heynens here in CA, so I can imagine all the Heynens that stayed in Decatur are.

So many memories of your entire family, from growing up at St James, and Sinawick park and the neighborhood, so sorry for your loss was unable to make the service but my prayers and thoughts were with you all.
