Mrs. Louise Lee O'Neal's Obituary
Mrs. Louise “Lou Lou” Lee O’Neal, 82, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 7, 1943, in Farrell, Mississippi, to W.D. Farmer and Jimmie Lee Haile.
After completing her education, Louise moved to Decatur to begin a new chapter in her life. Grounded in faith from a young age, she was raised in the church with her parents. In Decatur, she found her spiritual home at New Life Church of God, where she was embraced as family and deepened her walk with God.
Louise dedicated her career to caring for others, working as a home health aide until her retirement. Her compassion extended beyond her work, as she lovingly cared for her grandchild and great-grandchild. Known for her warmth and hospitality, she was an exceptional cook who delighted in family gatherings. She also had a passion for nurturing her beloved houseplants.
Above all, Louise treasured her role as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared her wisdom, her faith, and her unconditional love with her family, leaving them with cherished memories and guidance that will last a lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Andrew O’Neal Sr.; Longtime Companion Leroy Davis, her parents, W.D. Farmer and Jimmie Lee Haile; her Children, Andrew O’Neal Jr. and Elouise O’Neal; and her Siblings, W. D Farmer II, David Haile, Calvin Haile, Bobbie Farmer, and Martha Prince. Grandparents
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving Children: Eddie O’Neal (Cindy) , Leondrex Davis, Willie Davis, Cecil Davis, Rodney Davis, Carolyn O’Neal, Jennifer O’Neal, and Angela O’Neal-Forrest.
She is also survived by her Siblings: Albert Farmer (Doris) , Joe Haile (Loretta), Diane Haile, Johnny Haile (Bobbie) , James Haile and Geneva Haile (Edward) Rosie Haile .
She is also survived by her 27 Grandchildren: Katerra, Terise, Shaland, Terrance, Andrew, Tyrone, Ebonique, Kevin, Cherell, Eva, Shandria, Shawntell, Semone, Tony, Antonio, Brittany, Iesha, A’Mante, Aniyah, Leondrex, Nalani, Breyer, Jekhi, Chazmyne and Brittany Capers; 47 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Special Friend Rose Davis and Mother Ruthie Cobb ,along with many Nieces, Nephews, Extended relatives, and Dear friends.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to guide and protect her family for generations to come.
