Our sympathies are with you all. I remember one of the first times at the Himstedt home on Edward St. Curtis showed me Mary’s assortment of pottery. I still recall The St. Peter salt or was it pepper shaker. Very 3D talented! I also recall the raising of Pomeranians.
My dad also sends his condolences, he and Haldon Sr. grew up around Clokey Park on East Main St.
Hal,We are saddened to hear about Mary Ann. We think about you both often. We are greatful for all the wonderful things you and Mary Ann did for Aunt Jean. She loved you both dearly. The highlight of Aunt Jean’ s day was Mary Ann’s daily visit. Aunt Jean loved her stories and couldn’t wait to get her Christmas letter. Mary Ann is quite a gal! A distinct, unique, unforgettable personality. I loved her. I first met her when I was a nurse on pediatrics at DMH and Beth was a patient. Later I knew her when she ran the print shop at DMH. She was extremely efficient in the print shop! When Beth grew up and became a nurse, I enjoyed working beside her in ICU. I haven’t seen Mary Ann in a long time but for some unknown reason she was on my mind a few days ago. Maybe she wanted me to know she was thinking of me … hmm? My sincerest sympathy to the family.
