Mary A. Himstedt's Obituary
Mary A. Himstedt, 86, of Decatur, passed away on Monday September 9, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mary was born On January 17, 1933 in Decatur, a daughter of Joseph M. and Mary E. (Durbin) Thull. She married Haldon Himstedt Sr on May 17, 1952 in Fort Belvoir, VA; he survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Haldon (Caren) Himstedt Jr of Naples FL, Curtis (Pam) Himstedt of Cape Girardeau, MO; one son in law: George Aufmuth of Gray Summit, MO; two granddaughters: Jill (Kyle) Fritz and Jennifer (Steve) Cavett; three great grandchildren: Reed Fritz, Tenneley Cavett, Cannon Cavett; five step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Marie Aufmuth; two brothers: Bob and AL Thull and her sister, Margaret Welks.
Mary was the first of three generations to graduate from St. Theresa High School in 1951.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to mass at the church. Burial will follow in Hall Cemetery, rural Blue Mound. Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
