My brother and I were truly blessed to have Mike as an uncle. He took us fishing and boating on Vandalia Lake numerous times during our childhood. Uncle Mike always made me laugh as we would tease my brother, Todd, calling him "Toad." It still makes me smile to this day at this banter. He had such a great sense of humor and was a kind and giving soul. I am very sad that Uncle Mike has passed, but I know that he is in a better place in heaven. I could not have asked for a better uncle and friend. Rest in peace and thank you, Uncle Mike, for your kindness and love.Troy Hillman
Sorry for your loss. I believe Mike was in my graduating class of SDHD '71. Rest in piece my friend.
So sorry for your loss – our prayers & thoughts are with you and your family.
RIP Uncle Mike. You were a blessing to everyone you met! I will never forget your gentle nature or your kind demeanor. You were always kind and understanding. I'll never forget the memories of fishing for hours or the boating expeditions on Vandalia Lake. You always made us smile. Nor will I forget the time you braved a blizzard to pick me up at college for winter break. It was you that taught me to fish after my grandpa passed. You were the kind of Uncle every boy hopes to have in life. You were a wonderful friend and mentor to my family as I grew older. It seems like yesterday you were fishing with my son. Thank you for being such a wonderful Uncle to me and my family always. We look forward to the day we see you again in heaven. God Bless you and thank you.– Todd Hillman
I was a co worker with Mike at Firestone for years, he was a good man, will miss him.

And may the above words give you some peace knowing that the Almighty God is with you to comfort and sustain you through this difficult time.
