Nancy L. Gaither's Obituary
Nancy L. Gaither, 77, of Blue Mound passed away on Tuesday July 7, 2015 in her home.
Nancy was born on May 17, 1938 in Decatur the daughter of Glen and Edna (Rutherford) Tucker. She married Jack Towson in 1998. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2004. She enjoyed her work as a commodities broker for over 30 years. She was very special to her family and so loved by all.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet Gaither (Kim Brown) of Blue Mound; step-son, Toby Towson (Kathy) of Boonsboro, MD; brother, Phillip Tucker (Jo Ellen Cairns) of Harristown; sisters, Patricia Schlosser (Gary) of Decatur; Sara Holmes of Clinton; sister-in-law, Connie Tucker of Harristown; first husband John Gaither (Ruth Ann) of Taylorville; grandchildren, Adrian Gaither, Jessie Bafford, Audrey Bafford, and Gwen Bafford; step-grandchildren, Ella Towson, Eva Towson, and Anya Towson; great-granddaughter, Camille Gaither; nieces, Dawn Morrell (Greg), Dana Robnett (John), Amy Tucker, Lisabeth Chandler (Chris), and Meredith Thorne, nephews, Brad Tucker, Craig Tucker, and James Thorne (Keisha).
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father James Holmes, her second husband, son John Gaither Jr., brother Donald Tucker, infant sister Vera Jeanine Tucker, and sister-in-law Linda Tucker.
A celebration of life for Nancy will be 4:30 PM Sunday, July 12, 2015 in the Blue Mound Civic Center. Memorials are suggested to the Meridian Church of God in Blue Mound, First Christian Church of Blue Mound, or Blue Mound United Methodist Church.
