Nancy Caroline Kerwood's Obituary
Nancy Caroline Kerwood, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 3:43 P.M. on Saturday (05-10-2025) at Springfield Memorial Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Nancy was born on March 31, 1945, in Akron, OH, the daughter of Howard Eicholtz and Leila (Presutti) Eicholtz. She married Donald F. Kerwood on October 9, 1965, in Decatur, IL. He passed away on July 21, 2023.
Nancy attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and was a frequent visitor to the Argenta/Oreana Library. Nancy was a bookkeeper at Richland Community College.
She is survived by her children: Chris Kerwood and wife April of Decatur, IL; and Melissa Whittington of Decatur, IL; three grandchildren: Krista Kerwood, Kylan Kerwood, and Tristen Whittington; two nephews: Tony Eicholtz and Edward Eicholtz.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Jonathan Eicholtz.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Friday (05-16-2025) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday (05-16-2025) at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: The Argenta/Oreana Library.
