We are sad to learn of Dick's passing. Dick and I worked together for many years in Plant Engineering. We shared a great friendship at work, church, and our love for dogs. Dick always had a great smile on his face whenever I would see him and we shared many happy times. Since moving to Atlanta, GA we occasionally would return to Decatur for a visit. During church services Dick would always have that big, smiling greeting face and handshake for me after he received communion walking back to his seat.God bless you Dick and thank you for your friendship.Richard StubblefieldAlpharetta, GA
Dear Carolyn and Family, Our Deepest Sympathy in the loss of Dick. He will always hold a special place in my heart and I am saddened that I was not there for him this past year during his illness and loss of his son. I am thankful that Matt visited him in Decatur this summer! He has been in our thoughts and prayers and you and your family. Lesson learned, "let the people you love and care about know you are thinking about them" , I will always treasure the Christmas Reindeer he made for me and the coat rack for Amanda and wooden baby cradle! If any extra Reindeer remain in the garage… I would love to have… I am grateful for the "after church service" Cracker Barrel breakfast visits and especially our wonderful visit when Grandpa Leonard and Dick came to visit us here in Texas! I am thankful that I told him "I love you" after a phone call years ago, he replied the same back. ?? His fighting spirit left us all in awe for all he had to endure. I know he and Grandpa are watching from Heaven over Matt, who at age 28 continues the breakfast tradition that began at age 4 with Grandpa Leonard and his "cronies" . We Love and Miss you…. Susan Leonard and Family
So sorry to hear of richs passing. Rich and I grew up together in Forrest and were good buddies in our youth. My sympathies to all.
Barry & Family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad. May God be with you All during this time of sorrow. Keeping you All in my Prayers. God Bless.
So sorry for your loss. We carry many good memories of happy times.
I was so sorry to read about Richard's passing. He and my mom, Mary Lou Blundy Milstead, were first cousins. She loved him so much! She was also a dear friend and cousin to Carmen. From his picture he looked so much like my Grandpa Ralph Blundy. I was so sorry to hear he passed away with cancer. May he rest in peace now and not suffer anymore! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Karen Milstead Freehill
I was sorry to learn of Dick's passing. I worked with him in the Decatur Plant Engineering group for many years, where he was both a mentor to me and a friend. His experience was invaluable in helping me erect a fence and pour a sidewalk at our home in Decatur. Thoughts of Dick also remind me of the many other fine people that we were fortunate enough to work with at Cat. I am also reminded of how much fun we used to have playing "Hearts" over lunch. He made an impact on my life.
My heart and prays go out to each one of the family!!
